Every day in life different things happen, either through our activities or other peoples activities, directly or indirectly, knowing or unknowingly. But things will always happen either good or bad. The mind is the central point of every man, what gets into our subconscious minds, becomes part of us. The only way to influence a man is to get into his mind, change the way he reasons, give him a new mindset, then he his all yours.
Knowing here, doesn’t mean getting full knowledge about something but being aware of something. He gets bother by what we know, than what we don’t know, by what we see than what we do not see, by what we hear than what we do not hear. We get things into our minds, either by sight or by hearing. What we see or hear enters into our subconscious mind, it is then left for us to either make use of it or not, probably that is why the Bible reads “Faith cometh by hearing the word God”. We need to hear and see before we can have faith.
What we have in our mind is what we do and what we do is what affects or influences our actions and reactions.
Here are few examples of how what we know influences us.
Most people buys food from outside rather than prepare it themselves. Take for instance; you where not there when the food was prepared and during preparation, while the cook was not aware, insects and dirt gets into the food, but the cook gave little or no attention to it. When that same food is served to you, I bet you will enjoy it and even demand for more. But if you were to be present when the food was been prepared, you saw all the drama between the insects and the dirt, am sure when you would be served the food, you will feel like vomiting and wouldn’t want to taste it, not to talk of eating. In the first instance, you enjoyed it because you were not aware of the process in making the food. Now you couldn’t eat because you were aware. The difference is in the knowing.
Most people preferred to die instantly than been tortured to go through pain. They feel more pain not because of the torture, but because they know that they are been tortured, that is why when someone is about to be operated on, the doctor give them drugs to make the patient unconscious, this makes their subconscious mind inactive during the period of operation, at this point the patient sees or hear nothing, they even feel nothing. All this happen because they were not aware, if they were to be aware when the operation was going on, they would feel intense pain and may be loss of courage.
In conclusion, what you know is far more important than what you do not know, because it is what you know that determines your next step of action and reactions.
Therefore, what you are aware of plays more roles in your life than what you are not aware of.
Between a mother that delivers in a normal and a mother that delivers through operation, AND a man that dies in a plane crash and a man that dies drowning. WHO FEELS MORE PAIN?
It’s all in the knowing!
