EVERYTHING WE DO IS RIGHT AND ALSO WRONG

The difference between right and wrong is determined by the;
  • Where the incident happened
  • How the incident happened
  • When the incident happened and
  • The people involved in the action.
Either of the above can be used to judge if an action is right or wrong.

Where the incident happened? There are some things that are supposed to be done in a particular place and not anywhere. The place of action tells if the individual is right or wrong. For example “DRESSING”. There are some dresses that are not supposed to be worn in the public or anywhere. i.e. If a lady is half naked, out in the public, her dressing is condemn as wrong, but when she dresses that same way inside her own house, I think she is right. Most Churches believe that it is wrong for a lady to wear trousers in the Church, since they believed it is against their doctrine, but they can wear it any wear else. That is their belief though.

How the incident happened? Most people judged and condemn things by the way they happened. Let’s take “KILLING” for an example. Someone might be attacked by a criminal. In the process of attacked the person fights back and during the fight, the criminal got killed. I think he would be giving appraisals and that actions would be called SELF DEFENSE. But if, during the fight the criminal killed the man, and he was caught, he would be charged for MURDER. Both the case of Self defense and Murder involves one thing in common which is DEATH! Now, how it happened tells us if the action is right or wrong. There are many other cases like: I can collect something from somebody by threat or by forcing the person. Now this is called EXTORTION. What if I called that same thing from another person with permission? Would you then say it is right or wrong to collect something? It’s up to you to decide.

When the incident happened? The time at which an action takes place, enables us to know if such action is right or wrong.  When a student goes to school late, he would be punished, and when he goes early he escapes punishment. That is Time Planning or Management. When you do something outside a scheduled time without discipline, you are wrong and you are the one to be blame with a guilty conscience. And when you work with time, you will feel fulfilled and satisfied within you.  A worker who is supposed to be on duty, within the hour of 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, leaves his jobs and decides to spend some time with his families and friends on phone, Is he wrong or right? So it is up to you to decide.

THE PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THE ACTION: It is normal for anybody to do what they want. Like “SEX” for example. Like they say, sex is only meant for married couples. But when a married Man or Woman had sex with another person, they say it is adultery, which we know is wrong according to the Bible. Even when two unmarried people are engaged in a sexual activity, they say its fornication which is also wrong according to the Bible. But they are all sex, whether married or unmarried.
